Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors in Criminal Justice Social Work Sociology Public Administration or a related field or an equivalent 5 yrs of experience in Human Trafficking/Victim Services.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human trafficking prevention victim advocacy corrections or a related field.
  • Experience working with incarcerated populations or individuals under correctional supervision is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement training programs or initiatives.
  • Certification in human trafficking awareness and prevention will be required within 18 months of hire.
  • Valid drivers license (required for travel).

JOB OVERVIEW The Human Trafficking Coordinator will serve as a critical point of contact within the Department of Corrections (DOC) to address mitigate and prevent human trafficking within the correctional system. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies training programs and partnerships to combat human trafficking support victims and ensure compliance with anti-trafficking policies and regulations. The coordinator will work collaboratively with internal staff law enforcement agencies community organizations and other stakeholders to identify and respond to cases of human trafficking involving incarcerated individuals parolees and probationers.
