Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace operations have been part of the Beavercreek community for over 70 years! Our Beavercreek facility manufactures gas turbine tubes ducts and manifolds and also has complex machining fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering new product development and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes ducts and manifolds. We have been awarded OSHASs highest safety rating.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Complete Significant Process Substantiation (SPS) for new parts and/or revision for existing parts as they prepare for production
  • Own and process relevant data for completion of SPS
  • Collaborate and learn best practices from local Controlled Title Holders with regards to casting and ceramic interaction on dimensions inspection and yield
  • Partner with design team to ensure producibility castings for new and existing programs while still meeting the design intent
  • Leverage and promote the use of the GE Aerospace Flight Deck Operating System as the framework for problem-solving and decision-making supporting new casting part numbers and problem-solving with an emphasis on Safety Quality Delivery and Cost
  • Use judgment and ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles
  • Use technical experience and analytical thinking
  • Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Explain information and possess skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field
  • Convey performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of engineering or other appropriate technical experience)
  • At least an additional 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of fixturing gauges and general tooling as it pertains to turbine airfoils

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
