THE ROLE - DISPATCHER
The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and dispatching plumbing technicians to customer locations for service calls installations and repairs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient operations timely customer service and effective communication between customers technicians and office staff.

Reports to: Lead Estimator
Department: Plumbing Service

Location: Lynbrook NY
FLSA Category: Non-Exempt
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES - DISPATCHER
- Receive and prioritize service requests from customers via phone or email
- Schedule and dispatch plumbers based on skill level availability location and urgency of the job
- Coordinate daily schedules to maximize efficiency and reduce drive time
- Communicate job details clearly to technicians including customer information job type parts needed and any special instructions
- Monitor job status throughout the day updating schedules as needed for delays emergencies or cancellations
- Maintain customer database with current information
- Follow up with technicians to ensure timely job completion and accurate documentation
- Assist with customer communication including confirming appointments providing ETAs and updating on job progress
- Collaborate with warehouse and service teams to ensure materials and parts are available for scheduled jobs
REQUIREMENTS - DISPATCHER
- High School Diploma required Associates Degree preferred
- Two plus years experience in dispatching preferably in plumbing HVAC or field service industry
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic plumbing services and terminology a plus
- Experience using Sage software a plus
- Experience with all Microsoft Office applications
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - DISPATCHER
$24-$26/hr.
