Job Description

Contracts Specialist

Seattle WA (hybrid role)

Serving both public and private sector clients the company delivers strategic scientific and technical solutions across a range of complex projects with community client and ecological benefit in mind.

Our client is looking for a Contracts Specialist to support project teams by managing contracts and assisting with essential accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented proactive and organized with strong communication skills and experience in contracts financial processes and insurance/risk management.

Contracts Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Review draft and revise client and vendor contracts to align with internal policies.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and legal team on contract negotiations and risk mitigation.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for project managers on contract-related matters.
  • Manage contract timelines renewals and documentation.
  • Identify and implement improvements to contracting systems.
  • Coordinate with Accounting and project managers on billing rates and expense tracking.
  • Handle insurance-related questions and manage COIs with brokers and subcontractors.
  • Support financial processes including AP payroll reconciliations and audits.
  • Set up and maintain project data in Ajera; support internal training and usage.
  • Assist with various administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Contracts Specialist Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Accounting Law or related field
  • Must have 1-5 years of contract review experience for a professional service or law firm
  • 1-5 years in accounting/bookkeeping or strong exposure to accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat having experience with Ajera is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail organization and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities and improve processes independently
