Contracts Specialist

Our client is looking for a Contracts Specialist to support project teams by managing contracts and assisting with essential accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented proactive and organized with strong communication skills and experience in contracts financial processes and insurance/risk management.
Contracts Specialist Responsibilities:
- Review draft and revise client and vendor contracts to align with internal policies.
- Collaborate with the CFO and legal team on contract negotiations and risk mitigation.
- Serve as the main point of contact for project managers on contract-related matters.
- Manage contract timelines renewals and documentation.
- Identify and implement improvements to contracting systems.
- Coordinate with Accounting and project managers on billing rates and expense tracking.
- Handle insurance-related questions and manage COIs with brokers and subcontractors.
- Support financial processes including AP payroll reconciliations and audits.
- Set up and maintain project data in Ajera; support internal training and usage.
- Assist with various administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Contracts Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Accounting Law or related field
- Must have 1-5 years of contract review experience for a professional service or law firm
- 1-5 years in accounting/bookkeeping or strong exposure to accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat having experience with Ajera is a plus
- Strong attention to detail organization and communication skills
- Self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities and improve processes independently
