Right now were offering a rare opportunity to join our HR Operations team as Payroll Lead where youll take charge of delivering accurate compliant and efficient payroll services across both the UK and internationally.
In this hands-on role youll be at the centre of our payroll operations processing monthly payrolls resolving complex queries and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Youll partner closely with HR Finance and our external payroll providers to deliver a seamless employee experience no matter where in the world theyre based.
Heres what makes this role stand out:
- Lead on international payroll delivery ensuring global accuracy and compliance
- Support UK payroll operations working alongside our Payroll Consultant to meet monthly deadlines
- Be the go-to expert for payroll queries escalating and resolving complex issues with confidence
- Deputise for the HR Operations & Payroll Manager during absences owning key deliverables and vendor relationships
- Contribute to audits maintain process documentation and continuously improve how we work
- Drive collaboration across HR and Finance to ensure data integrity and smooth workflows
This role is ideal for an individual who excels in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment and desires to be part of a company where their work truly matters. Youll need solid end-to-end payroll experience (particularly in the UK) and ideally some exposure to international payrolls as well.
If youve worked with external vendors or been involved in audits and process improvement projects even better.
Were looking for:
- Proven experience managing end-to-end UK payroll
- Knowledge of international payrolls and global tax compliance (or a desire to learn)
- A detail-driven mindset strong problem-solving skills and a calm professional approach
- Excellent IT skills especially Excel and familiarity with payroll or HR systems
- Ideally CIPP Level 3 qualified (or working towards it)

This role is based at our Gaydon HQ where youll spend time onsite to help you get fully up to speed with our systems processes and ways of working. We have a hybrid working policy that typically involves three days on-site.
