Job Description

Setup and Location: WFH
Work Schedule: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM (NZST) 5:00 AM 2:00 PM (PH Time)
Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to accurately produce takeoffs from house plans and support cost
estimation processes for building supplies. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in residential quantity
surveying and estimating with additional commercial experience considered an advantage. This role is critical for
ensuring precise cost control and procurement accuracy in construction-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering plans for residential building projects.
  • Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for building materials including bolts nuts and connection components.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders aligned with project requirements and supplier agreements.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of quantities costs and supplier information for reporting and audit purposes.
  • Comply with Australian or New Zealand standards and methodologies in all estimating and surveying tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to clarify specifications and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and update cost databases to reflect current market rates and supplier pricing


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
  • 3 years experience in quantity surveying and cost estimating preferably with residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Proficiency in CostX software or similar quantity surveying and estimating tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian or New Zealand construction standards and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to engage confidently with various stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to produce accurate takeoffs and manage purchase orders efficiently.
