We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Control Area Engineer - Track and Systems to join our team in the North East region of the United States. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety for our railway track and systems infrastructure.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for track and systems maintenance and construction projects
- Conduct regular inspections of railway tracks signals and related systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Analyze data from inspections and tests to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to resolve quality-related problems and improve processes
- Prepare detailed reports on quality control activities findings and recommendations
- Participate in project planning meetings to provide input on quality control requirements and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards regulations and technological advancements in railway track and systems engineering
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on quality control procedures and techniques
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control engineering preferably in the rail or transportation industry
- Extensive knowledge of railway track and systems engineering principles
- Proficiency in quality control methodologies and standards specific to the transportation industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights
- Experience with track and systems inspection and maintenance procedures
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in the railway industry
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel within the North East region as required for project inspections and site visits
Additional Information :
Salary: Salary range is dependent on scope of work location of project as well as level of experience. This range could fall anywhere between $115k - $165k
