Position Summary:
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to streamline the flow of incoming materials and supplies for our manufacturing operations while also coordinating urgent outbound shipments. The ideal candidate will drive timely cost-efficient deliveries and foster strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams to support seamless operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Monitor Shipments: Track inbound to ensure on-time delivery of materials and products.
- Coordinate with Suppliers and Carriers: Communicate with vendors suppliers and transportation providers to expedite deliveries and resolve delays.
- Resolve Issues: Address logistics bottlenecks such as delayed shipments damaged goods or documentation errors to maintain workflow.
- Prioritize Orders: Work with production and procurement teams to prioritize urgent material needs based on schedules and demand.
- Maintain Records: Update and maintain accurate logistics data using software (e.g. ERP TMS) to track progress and report issues.
- Ensure Compliance: Verify that shipments comply with regulatory safety and environmental standards.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with warehouse production and purchasing teams to align logistics with operational goals.
- Analyze Delays: Investigate causes of delays and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and prevent future issues.
- Negotiate Timelines: Work with carriers and suppliers to expedite urgent shipments while managing costs.
- Report Progress: Provide updates and reports on expedited shipments and logistics performance to management.
- Coordinate inbound shipments of raw materials and components to meet production schedules
- Analyze inbound logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Negotiate with carriers to secure cost-effective transportation solutions

Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management Logistics Business or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in logistics supply chain or inbound operation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for working with suppliers and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for inbound logistics is a plus
- Certifications such as APICS or CSCMP are an advantage
- Microsoft Office and ERP knowledge and skills is a plus
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written with the ability to communicate with people at all levels and from diverse cultures
- Ability to analyze problems and recommend and implement solutions
- Proactive with a strong sense of urgency tenacity and ownership
- Ability to cultivate understand and anticipate the needs of the customer/stakeholder and to provide effective solutions
- Capable of challenging existing practices processes and systems to deliver improvements to benefit the business
- Possess a strong collaborative approach
Additional Information :
Salary and Benefits
The hourly rate is $28- $32/hour. The range is determined based on several factors including but not limited to work experience and job knowledge complexity of the role job location etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific hourly rate during the interview process.
