Speech-Language Pathologist

As aSpeech Language Pathologistyou contribute to this mission by evaluating students to determine their functional levels and identify special needs. You will work as part of a team that serves 8000 students at 18 campuses across Helena the regulary school calendar days 7 hours a day. Starting salary is based on a school year of 187 days at $60129-$69105.

Some of what you will do:

Serves as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement.
Assists and guides teachers in observing describing and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments.
Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech voice and language impairments.
Provides screening to identify speech disability children at regular intervals and at specified levels.
Assists in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and/or specialists in the community.
Provides appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual students needs and correct existing speech and language handicaps.

Who we are looking for:

To become part of this dedicated team you have a Montana Speech Language Pathologist license at the time of employment.
The ideal candidate will possess Certification by National Registration Exam.
Successful candidates are regularly required to climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand walk sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and depth perception.
