Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a Compliance Manager to join their legal and compliance team in Hong Kong.
The Role:
- Collaborate closely with business units to design standard operating procedures in line with the organisations compliance framework.
- Offer guidance and support to business units in developing compliance plans and activities.
- Conduct assessments and reviews of business operations to identify legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify compliance areas and provide training to business units about the organisations compliance obligations.
- Compile reports to deliver results of compliance efforts to management.
- Monitor actions and escalate where appropriate.
Qualifications:
- A degree in law business or related fields.
- 8 years of experience in legal and compliance departments preferably in corporate or consulting firms with expertise in risk assessment and business process mapping.
- Experience in compliance legal ethics governance or similar roles within corporate organizations particularly in sectors such as Conglomerate Property Consumer or Hospitality.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (oral and written).
- The capability to analyse legal and regulatory requirements and convey obligations to BU staff and management.
