Job Description
Starting Salary Range: $98000 - $115000 - position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
In this role youll assess how long-term regulatory economic and industry trends will shape the reliability efficiency and adequacy of generation and transmission infrastructure. Youll dive deep into the complex interactions of our energy systemslike the critical relationship between natural gas and electricity networksto identify emerging risks and inform bold forward-looking decisions.
This position is both technical and strategic ideal for someone who can translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. Youll present your findings to internal teams regulators and industry leadershelping to shape policy align stakeholders and drive long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Analyzing industry trends and regulatory developments to assess their impact on power system planning.
- Evaluating the reliability and adequacy of the grid using advanced engineering and economic tools.
- Monitoring emerging energy issues including gas-electric interdependencies to guide strategy and mitigate risk.
- Creating compelling reports and presentations tailored to a range of audiences.
- Collaborating across teams to solve tough challenges and ensure regulatory alignment.
- Engaging with regulators and industry partners to build consensus and support sound decision-making.
Were looking for talented professionals with a bachelors degree or higher in one of several engineering or technical fields. The type of degree you hold will determine whether youre considered for an Engineer or a Planner title. Please see the list below for qualifying degrees.
