Description

The School-Based Adaptive Program (SBAP) at Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is looking for a passionate and skilled Behavior Consultant to join our dynamic clinical team.

SBAP delivers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) supports to individuals ages 421 with neurodevelopmental and intellectual disabilities. Our services are designed to support students who require adaptive curricula and life skills training including assistance with daily living tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 68 clients in public schools across Franklin and/or Grand Isle Counties
  • Assess challenging behaviors and conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) in school settings
  • Develop individualized Behavior Support Plans
  • Train Behavior Interventionists (BIs) to implement plans with and without clients present
  • Provide ongoing clinical oversight and program support for each case
  • Attend interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Analyze and graph data to inform interventions and present findings to school teams and families
  • Collaborate closely with NCSS staff school personnel families and external providers to offer coordinated multidisciplinary support
  • Maintain open communication with families schools and NCSS teams through effective case management
  • Document services and progress in our electronic medical records system

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in or committed to enrolling in graduate-level coursework in behavior analysis or actively pursuing BCBA/BCaBA certification. Knowledge and experience in ABA required.
