Due to growth our established client based in Wellingborough is recruiting experienced Welders to join their Operations team where youll play a key role in producing high-precision components within a professional safety-focused production environment.
The Role ...
As a TIG & MIG Welder youll join a team of expert welders on the late shift responsible for assembling and welding a wide range of instrumentation using jigs fixtures and manipulators.
You will:
- Weld stainless steel components to high specification (including exotic materials such as Duplex or Super Duplex)
- Perform helium leakage testing expanding pressure testing and basic assembly work
- Maintain your equipment and workspace to a high standard
- Work from technical drawings and support continuous improvement efforts across production
- Assist with TPM and preventative maintenance
- Work to tight tolerances with accuracy consistency and attention to safety
What Were Looking For ...
Essential:
- 5 years TIG welding experience (MIG experience a bonus)
- Coded welder to EN287-1 / ASME IX / PED
- High standard of stainless steel welding
- Confident using production tools and reading technical drawings
- Good computer skills (MS Office)
- Hands-on adaptable and reliable team player
Desirable:
- Recognised Engineering qualification (e.g. BTEC City & Guilds)
- Experience welding exotic materials (e.g. Duplex)
- Experience using lathes turntables or automated equipment
- Nuclear coding (RCCM
