Radiology Care Technician

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Associates Degree Health Information or Health Related field preferred
Experience
None required
Licenses and Certifications
CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist preferred upon hire required Or
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred upon hire required Or
LMRT- Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist preferred upon hire required Or
NCT Non-Certified Radiology Technician preferred upon hire required Or
CNA - Certified Nurses Aide upon hire required or
EMT - Emergency Medical Technician upon hire required And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
What You Will Do
Patient Care:
Prepares room for examination (i.e. suction oxygen supplies) to ensure radiology suite is in working order and ready to use to reduce patient risk.
Reviews physician orders and exam requisitions to ensure the continuity of patient care.
Equipment Operation:
Operates cares for and maintains relevant equipment to provide proper utilization.
Troubleshoots and properly documents equipment malfunction to ensure timely repairs and patient safety.
Professional Accountability and Partnership:
Maintains technical skills and technology advancement to enhance professional contributions to department.
Recognizes and communicates ethical and legal concerns through established channels of communication for the well being and safety of patient
