Our client local to the greater Philadelphia metro area is opening a plasma center in historic Philadelphia just blocks from Temple University Hospital and Temple University. The plasma center will enable individuals to donate plasma for use in life-saving pharma products diagnostic reagents and therapies.
Our client is currently seeking a Plasma Center Planning Manager to lead the physical setup strategic planning and operational execution of the centers launch. Individuals with experience launching and/or working in a plasma center or blood donation center are strongly encouraged to apply.
This role is open to candidates with a relevant professional background based in the Philadelphia area or to professionals seeking a remote opportunity. The position also offers flexible scheduling and can be structured as either full-time or part-time.
Essential Responsibilities Include:
- As part of the overarching business plan establish clear goals for the pre-launch phase with a detailed timeline to ensure that all are achieved on time and on budget ranging from construction and permitting to equipment and staffing.
- Ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations including those established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
- Ensure that Quality Assurance Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) are established to safeguard the efficacy of plasma from draw through packaging storage and shipping.
- Create uphold and actively promote adherence to company policies procedures training and certification requirements and operational management and KPIs. This includes planning for: daily center operations staffing production goals and reporting.
- Source vendors and cultivate vendor relationships to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
- Procure and create sterilization and maintenance protocols for equipment (e.g. freezer operations & temperature controls) plus the disposal of biohazardous waste to maintain health safety and optimal functioning.
- Collaborate with owners advisors and accounting professionals on process efficiency planning workforce planning budget allocations and more.
- Implement new software applications to manage donor information: donor questionnaires eligibility determinations collections payments and more.
- Create and promote practices to ensure a wholly positive donor experience ensuring satisfaction and recurring/repeat donations (donor base) while also meeting cost per liter (CPL) targets.
- Create a buyer persona and establish a buyer network ensuring a wholly positive buyer experience.
- Support the recruitment and selection process for key center operations staff as needed.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of center-related information (workforce donor buyer).
- Contribute to creating and maintaining a positive brand reputation within the community.
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Possess Most of the Following:
- Bachelors degree in business or a related field.
- 5 years of related work experience in a clinical setting. Plasma center planning and/or supervisory experience very strongly preferred.
- Proven application of FDA regulations required.
- Experience with new software application implementation preferred.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills required. Project Manager experience strongly preferred.
- Efficient and compelling communicator with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams required.
