Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Application Developer II for the Office of Information Technology. Under the direction of a Project Manager/Associate Director for Enterprise Application Services ( EAS ) this position provides analytical and programming support for the Financial Aid/Enrollment management and other university administrative and academic offices. This position serves as one of the primary system administrators for the enterprise Oracle Student Financial Planning ( OSFP ) environment. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Assists in managing necessary system upgrades in all OSFP environments as well as testing all impacted areas and workflows. Assists with basic administrative functions including user account maintenance reports and dashboards workflows and other routine tasks. Works with our institutional management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative development and change management activities. Assists in training of new users and grow the OSFP skill set across the organization. Works with members of the user community to define and document development requirements. Assists in coordinating the evaluation scope and completion of new development requests. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Overview
The Office of Information Technology ( OIT ) is Rutgers enterprise IT office. OIT provides university wide services and support and collaborates with department and unit IT professionals on projects and initiatives for the Rutgers community. OITs services and systems include the Rutgers network; email and calendaring systems; IDs/passwords and identity management; data centers; computer labs; help desk support; wireless connectivity; a software portal; information security risk and compliance services; research computing; and many others. Preferred Qualifications
OSFP /Oracle Cloud Admin certified preferred. Relevant system administration experience with cloud applications. Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption. Strong data management abilities. Strong understanding of Higher Education related processes and systems. A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion. A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements. Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud best practices and functionality.
