You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSeaLandAire Technologies in Jackson Michigan is looking for Production Technicians to join our team. SeaLandAire provides engineering services for data collection in difficult environments.
A SeaLandAire Production Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly testing and inspection of products within a manufacturing environment. This role requires proficiency in basic hand tools print reading and adherence to safety and quality standards. The position ensures smooth production flow by supporting the operational team maintaining equipment and ensuring that products meet the required specifications.
Assembly & Production Support
Use basic hand tools (such as screwdrivers wrenches and pliers) to assemble or disassemble parts and components as per established procedures.
Follow production schedules and assist in maintaining consistent workflow throughout the manufacturing process.
Ensure parts and materials are available for production and assist in maintaining stock levels.
Print Reading
Read and interpret basic blueprints technical drawings and work instructions to understand assembly or production requirements.
Accurately measure parts and components using basic measuring instruments (calipers rulers etc.).
Quality Control
Perform basic inspections on assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Report any defects discrepancies or issues found during production to the supervisor.
Maintenance & Equipment Care
Assist in the maintenance and minor repairs of tools machinery and equipment used in the production process.
Keep work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
Safety Compliance
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Participate in safety training and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of hand tools and manufacturing processes
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical drawings
Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Basic Office software proficiency
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear (sometimes in a noisy environment). This position is very active and may require standing walking bending stooping crouching crawling climbing or sitting for long periods of time. Manual dexterity to use hand tools and handle small parts is required of this position as well as the ability to lift and carry items over 25 lbs.
This position primarily works in a climate-controlled lab space but may occasionally be performed in outside weather conditions (appropriate PPE will be provided). While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the manufacturing site. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

This is an onsite full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 40 hours per week. Hours are somewhat flexible and occasional late evenings and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Limited travel is sometimes required for field testing vendor selections and customer interface.
Since a majority of SeaLandAires business is funded by the U.S. Department of Defense applicants must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident).
