Technical Lead Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)

About the Role:
Were seeking a Technical Lead Salesforce Commerce Cloud to lead architecture development and delivery of complex e-commerce solutions. Youll guide a team of engineers shape technical direction and collaborate with business stakeholders to bring scalable and performant commerce experiences to life.

Key Responsibilities:


Technical Leadership:
Own the end-to-end technical vision and execution for SFCC-based projects. Provide mentorship to development teams and ensure adherence to best practices.


Solution Architecture:
Architect scalable and modular SFCC solutions leveraging SFRA Page Designer and integration frameworks. Design for extensibility localization and performance.


Code Oversight:
Oversee code quality conduct peer reviews and set coding standards. Ensure high-quality releases with minimal regression.


Project Ownership:
Collaborate with Product Managers UX Designers and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.


Cross-system Integration:
Drive integrations with external systems (ERP CRM OMS Marketing Cloud) via secure and scalable APIs. Handle failovers timeouts retries and circuit breakers.


Team Collaboration:
Facilitate Agile ceremonies contribute to backlog grooming and assist in sprint planning. Act as the technical point of contact for cross-functional teams.


Monitoring & Optimization:
Define KPIs and monitoring tools for storefront performance. Implement caching strategies optimize rendering and reduce TTI.


Technical Documentation:
Maintain system architecture diagrams tech specs and runbooks. Support training for developers and junior engineers.

Required Qualifications:
7 years of SFCC development experience including at least 2 years in a technical lead role.
Proven experience leading SFCC projects from inception to deployment.


Deep expertise in:
SFRA and Page Designer extensibility.
Multi-site/multi-locale configuration.
Advanced service framework usage and best practices
Business Manager configuration and data modeling
Site performance profiling and optimization.

Practical experience working with OCAPI (Open Commerce API) and SCAPI (Salesforce Commerce API) for managing storefront operations customer data products baskets and orders.
Experience designing RESTful APIs and middleware communication.
Proficient in Agile methodologies and DevOps tools (CI/CD Git Jira).
Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect or Developer certifications (preferred).

Bonus Points:
Experience with microservices architecture MACH (Microservices API-first Cloud-native Headless).
Familiarity with Salesforce core clouds (Service Marketing).
Contribution to SFCC accelerators or plugin development.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications:

BE/BTECH/MCA

Proven experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud

Proficient in troubleshooting complex issues related to Salesforce configuration customizations and integrations.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
