Summary
Responsible for the development direction and execution quality safety infection prevention accreditation and patient experience initiatives that are consistent with the vision and mission of the organization.Job Description
Accountable to develop programmatic planning and project coordination to achieve the strategic goals of Sanford pertaining to quality infection prevention and accreditation performance improvement as well as patient experience. Collaborates with leadership to develop the vision and strategic plan for quality and patient experience across the enterprise. Responsibilities include: budget management allocation of appropriate resources and staffing action plans issue resolution program development education and mentorship of staff.
Leads ongoing evaluation and implementation of efforts to establish an enterprise-wide culture of safety. Collaborates with senior leaders and frontline staff regarding error prevention strategies advises on policies to encourage a culture of safety and design programs to deploy best practices in regard to increased error reporting and error reduction across the organization. Effectively influences the prioritization of patient safety experience and quality outcomes to achieve Sanfords commitment to create reliable barriers to preventable harm reducing or even eliminating serious safety events in our facilities.
Serves on tasks force committees staff meetings cross-functional project teams etc. to evaluate data best practice and progress related to departmental regional or/and organizational goals and strategies. Measures monitors and assesses the outcomes of all improvement initiatives. Evaluates data synthesizes feedback and identifies barriers to success. Partners with leadership to develop and implement interventions to remove barriers and achieve quality and patient experience goals.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate analyze and synthesize complex or diverse information. Works well in group problem solving situations. Exhibits strong communication and presentation skills and shows the ability to manage and coordinate project team activities. Effectively influences actions and opinions of others. Seeks opportunities to help others learn as teacher coach and mentor. Possesses the ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills such as interacting effectively with other health care professionals physicians upper-level management regulatory agency staff and the general public.
Qualifications
