Job Description
PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER
POSITON POSTING
The Moses Lake School District is seeking applications for2 Elementary Physical Education Teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Washington State Teacher Certification required.
- Major in physical education or K-12 Physical Education endorsement.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable.
DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES
- To communicate effectively with students staff parents and community.
- To have a positive attitude and work cooperatively with others in a team approach to planning and working with site-based decisions and management operations.
- To work effectively with all children with varying academic emotional social and physical needs.
- To work primarily with children in the elementary grades K-5.
- Ability to teach skills and attitudes of sportsmanship and fitness.
- Ability to support the building academic goals of reading writing and math.
- Have experience with knowledge of skill in and support of shared decision making.
- Have experience knowledge and skill working with Washington States Educational Reform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach physical education at Pre Kinder - 5thgrade level with a wide range of student abilities using appropriate activities for all children.
- Be willing to participate actively and cooperatively with others on the staff in the shared decision making management process.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to participation and learning.
- Teach both primary and intermediate children.
- Must have excellent attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
