Job Description
We are currently accepting applications for the position of Accounting Technician to perform a variety of working level complex clerical and routine technical duties as needed to expedite the day-to-day processing of accounts payables and receivables.

Schedule: Part-Time Monday - Friday 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $18.86 - $23.90 per hour (depending on experience)
Additional compensation available for Spanish speakers after testing proficiency.
Essential Functions:
Accounts Payable:
- Process and monitor center accounts payable system
- Process vouchers
- Maintain vendor database
Accounts Receivable:
- Receive and receipt incoming payments
- Deliver bank deposits
- Perform ongoing training
Special Programs:
- Maintain various accounting and financial records
- Prepare mileage reimbursements
- Gather and track receipts for charge accounts
- Solve problems and concerns of vendors regarding reimbursements
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting and procedural guidelines
General:
- Assist auditors
- Provide project support
- Provide backup to Accountant
- Audit for accuracy

Essential Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
This position requires a working knowledge of laws and regulations governing accounting responsibility and of accounting/bookkeeping.
Required abilities include communicating effectively and performing advanced mathematical computations.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND Two (2) year of college level coursework in accounting bookkeeping or other related field AND Two (2) year of responsible work experience in practical bookkeeping or accounting
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience AND software proficiency standards scores at or above entry level standard(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent typing accuracy
- Experience in a medical environment
Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
