Position Overview:
This role is pivotal in ensuring timely and accurate claim submission denial management and process improvement. The Billing Supervisor will serve as a key resource for training workflow optimization and team performance monitoring but will not be responsible for issuing disciplinary action. Instead they will provide valuable insights into team performance and assist the Billing Manager in identifying and addressing challenges within the department.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2-5 years medical billing experience
Experience with Medicaid Medicare/Medicare Advantage and Commercial insurance billing
Experience with denials management AR follow-up claims submission and claims resolution.
Experience with billing data to identify trends.
Experience with training staff and developing process improvement strategies.
Excellent communication problem-solving skills conflict resolution skills and customer service skills.
Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain a productive and supportive work environment without enforcing disciplinary action.
Must pass pre-employment or for cause drug tests
Must pass criminal background and DMV checks.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of PPS rates and AR reconciliation.
Prior leadership or mentoring experience in a medical billing setting.
Experience in Athena Practice Management system preferred.
Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community preferred

Benefits:Employees working 20 hours or more are eligible for benefits. Benefits are effective from the 1st of the month following the date of hire.
