About this Program
The WES (Wellbeing & Emotional Support) is a mental health caf developed in consultation with the community for the community. The WES is a safe a welcoming space for those aged over 16 years who may be experiencing feelings of isolation are overwhelmed in crisis or feel distressed. A team of peer support workers and mental health professionals provide the opportunity for those in need to receive psychosocial supports from experienced WES team members. The WES team consist of a lived experience team with their own experience of mental health concerns or caring for someone who has.
About the Opportunity
This role will support the needs of individuals accessing the WES ensuring a welcoming and safe
environment is maintained for the community. Support may include providing basic information on
health and wellbeing assessment psychoeducation interpersonal counselling wellbeing activities
and diversionary work where indicated. A key component is the provision of a basic mental health
triage function to ensure those requiring clinical support are referred on appropriately.
