About the team

The Risk and Compliance (R&C) function has responsibility for enabling the Group to manage the risks in line with the Groups risk appetite. The R&C function enables the success of the business by instilling a culture of risk management as a core part of how we support our customers and ensuring that we have the appropriate processes and practices to meet our compliance obligations.

The Technology Risk Team assists the business make informed choices about risks to systems and information.

About the role

As the Senior Manager Risk & Compliance Technology and reporting to the Head of Technology Risk you are an integral part of the Techology Risk Team and key in leading and driving the operational risk strategy across the organisation and partnering with key business leaders building their risk capability.

Youll get to:

  • Lead a small team of specialists provide coaching and guidance to build and develop the capability within the team and ensure key accountabilities are met
  • Identify prioritise and allocate resources to deliver on business objectives and transformation projects
  • Lead advise and influence key stakeholders across the wider organisation around operational risk requirements to meet strategic and transformational targets
  • Lead the development documentation and control testing for relevant risk and compliance obligations
  • Provide timely and accurate risk reporting to the Head of Risk and assist in the preparations of papers and information for various committees i.e. Divisional Operational Risk Committee
  • Lead the implementation of efficiencies and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives and further the development implementation and management of the 1st line risk framework for the Business.

Ideally you will be based at one of our corporate offices in Adelaide Bendigo or Melbourne but open to location for the right candidate. We offer a flexible hybrid working model that includes a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Techology and or Business and /or other relevant qualification
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge / post grad qualifications in technology risk and controls and other technologies inc. cloud services mainframe systems and emerging technologies i.e. AI
  • Experience and understanding of risk frameworks management and measurement
  • Experience leading teams with the ability to mentor coach and build high performing teams
  • Strong relationship building skills to work with multiple stakeholders with the ability to advise influence and negotiate
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work across complexity and meet critical timeframes
  • Strong problem-solving and resolution focused capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset
