Technology Specialist Full Time Kelver/Davies Branches

Help Rural Communities Thrive in a Digital World
Are you a patient tech-savvy guide who enjoys helping others build digital confidence Do you find purpose in connecting communities with opportunities to learn create and grow

Arapahoe Libraries is seeking a Technology Specialist to provide friendly knowledgeable tech support at two rural branches. Youll assist patrons in navigating technology and contribute to a collaborative service-focused team. This role centers on in-person tech help digital literacy and troubleshooting library technology. You will empower community members to build skills and solve problems with confidence.

About the Role
Youll work across two rural branches that serve as essential access points for technology in their communities. Each day youll be assigned to a library location where youll assist patrons with one-on-one tech questions whether its learning how to use a smartphone troubleshooting a laptop issue or exploring new tools. Youll be trained to support 3D printing services and district-wide tech systems such as public computers and digital signage. As part of a responsive and engaged team youll stay connected with fellow Technology Specialists through chat and email. Youll share knowledge collaborate on solutions and help ensure consistent service across the district.

Key Responsibilities
Patron Assistance with Technology

  • Provide in-person support for devices apps software and other digital tools
  • Guide patrons through troubleshooting steps with patience and clarity
  • Promote digital literacy and safe confident technology use
  • Assist with 3D printing services including requests and printer operation
  • Respond to tech support inquiries via chat email and in-person service

Infrastructure Troubleshooting and Staff Assistance

  • Support library tech systems including computers printers signage and sorting equipment-training provided
  • Offer informal staff coaching and refreshers for common tech issues
  • Stay up to date on new tools and solutions through self-directed learning

Additional Service Support

  • Step in during busy times to help with library accounts room reservations and general patron assistance
  • Actively contribute to a strong team culture that values accountability mutual respect and encouragement

  • Strong customer service skills and a love for teaching others how to use technology
  • Solid troubleshooting instincts and the drive to find answers-even when learning in real time
  • Comfort working independently across multiple locations and adjusting to changing assignments

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a tech-related or teaching role
  • 1-3 years of customer service instructional or support experience
  • Demonstrated intermediate skills in troubleshooting technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills and patience working with a variety of tech comfort levels
  • Willingness to work evenings weekends and travel between branches
  • Ability to manage time follow schedules and take initiative with minimal oversight

Preferred

  • Proficiency in Spanish Russian or Arabic
  • Familiarity with eBooks databases and device troubleshooting across platforms
