Title: Extra Help IT Support Analyst

The College of Arts and Sciences Information Technology unit (CAS-IT) is hiring an Extra Help IT Support Analyst to provide on-site IT support for College of Arts and Sciences departments and their faculty staff and labs. The Extra Help IT Support Analyst is assigned work within ServiceNow and follows documented procedures or Endpoint Support Team Lead guidance. This position is responsible for first and second level support which can involve working with others in-person over the phone chat email and/or remote desktop support. This position may be required to travel to off campus locations. Please note this is not a remote work position.

$23.00 per hour
1. High school degree or equivalent.
2. Six (6) months of work experience supporting/troubleshooting Windows Mac and/or Linux operating systems in a networked environment.
3. Six (6) months of work experience providing customer service with a positive customer service oriented and solution focused demeanor.
4. Demonstrated history of punctuality organization discipline and following established procedures even in high-pressure and time sensitive situations.
5. Professional verbal and written communication.
28 hours per week maximum. Typical work hours occur anytime between 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at workstation for extended periods.
2. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
3. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
4. Ability to squat and crawl under objects such as desks.
5. Ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs. occasionally lift objects up to 40lbs.

Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment. Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement with Illinois State University. However Extra Help employees are eligible to participate in the Universitys supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). Applicable retirement information is provided at the time of hire. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment. In addition extra help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment.
