Were currently seeking an experiencedManager Safetyto lead the implementation of our safety strategy and champion a proactive safety culture across our operations. This is a pivotal leadership role where youll influence safety excellence drive innovation and embed sustainable safety practices into every aspect of our business.
Key accountabilities include:
- Lead the development and execution of IGOs safety strategy ensuring alignment with broader business objectives;
- Provide expert guidance to operational teams ensuring compliance with legislation company standards and industry best practices;
- Foster a proactive safety culture through visible leadership accountability and employee engagement;
- Oversee risk assessments incident investigations and corrective actions to drive continuous improvement;
- Monitor and analyse safety performance metrics delivering actionable insights to senior leadership;
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment in safety practices;
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing innovative safety technologies and systems; and
- Build and lead a high-performing safety team focused on excellence collaboration and customer focused delivery.
Your Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field;
- Significant experience in a senior safety leadership role ideally within the mining industry;
- High level influencing skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders;
- Exceptional communication literacy numeracy and presentation skills;
- Demonstrated success in managing diverse teams;
- Experience with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) or Safety 2 programs; and
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
