The Opportunity:
UCF Advancement seeks applicants for an Assistant Director Regional Alumni Engagement to join their team. The Assistant Director Regional Alumni Engagement leads national efforts to engage UCF alumni through scalable regional-based programs that inspire participation and philanthropy. This role strengthens volunteer-led communities across the country using both virtual and in-person strategies to expand UCFs footprint and elevate alumni involvement.

Responsibilities:
Regional Program Management:
Direct and grow UCFs regional alumni engagement strategy through a national volunteer-driven model.
Recruit train and support community leaders to coordinate high-impact programs and experiences.
Coordinate virtual meetings and events for distributed alumni communities.
Strategy & Growth:
Expand alumni participation by launching scalable programs and initiatives that increase engagement and inspire giving.
Set and measure strategic goals in partnership with Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving leadership.
Support the growth and sustainability of regional scholarships and donor stewardship.
Cultivate strong relationships with alumni volunteers and manage volunteer teams across multiple regions; serve as a trusted advisor to help advance UCF initiatives.
Elevate alumni experiences.
Event Planning & Collaboration:
Collaborate with university departments (e.g. Admissions Athletics colleges) to co-host strategic regional events.
Assist with managing and budgeting engagement experiences aligned with Advancement & Partnership goals.
Coordinate communication across digital channels including email texting web and social media to promote events and volunteer stories.
Communication & Data Stewardship:
Develop targeted messaging for regional alumni communities.
Ensure data privacy maintain accurate alumni contact records and evaluate program success using CRM tools and analysis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree and 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in alumni relations volunteer management or community engagement especially in higher education or a nonprofit setting.
Expertise in executing large high-profile events.
Expertise in relationship building and experience working in a position with a high level of public contact with internal and external stakeholders.
Comfortable with CRM systems (e.g. Blackbaud) email platforms and social media tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead and direct staff and volunteers.
Proven ability in event budget management.
Experience working with various technologies including advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Zoom and ERP systems.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
Excellent communication skills across multiple formats: verbal written digital and interpersonal.
Excellent analytical organizational and time management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate handle multiple priorities and handle the pressure of deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to achieve goals with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
This position requires some travel regionally throughout the year to support campus partner events. Nights and weekends may be required occasionally.
The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $54000 - $60000. Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The determination of a successful candidates starting salary will vary based on several factors including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
