A bit about us:
We are a pre-school set in Nursteed Primary School grounds. It is open Monday Friday term time only from 9am 3pm. It has one large playroom which provides education and care for 23 & 4 year olds. We strive to create an atmosphere where children feel valued empowered and motivated to explore learn and grow. By providing these foundations and tailored learning experiences we aim to ensure each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential and thrive socially emotionally and academically setting the groundwork for a future filled with success and endless possibilities.
All about the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our friendly team at Little Bears Preschool.
In this leadership role youll support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the preschool and delivery of the early years foundation stage. Youll also act as a key person for a group of children fostering strong relationships with families and ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
What Youll Do
- Deliver high-quality play-based learning in line with the EYFS
- Support and lead staff alongside the Manager
- Build partnerships with parents and carers
- Maintain rigorous safeguarding health and hygiene standards
- Ensure children can access all areas of the early years curriculum within the setting.
- Contribute to the continuous development of our policies and practices
Essential Criteria
- Level 3 or above in early years education/childcare
- At least 2 years experience with children aged 2-5
- Excellent knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A caring calm and collaborative nature
Desirable Criteria
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Previous experience of management level role
