About the Role:
We are seeking a Parts Interpreter & Purchasing Officer to manage purchasing supply chain operations parts interpretation and warranty support for all Dysons stores and fleet nationwide. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless flow of materials parts and services contributing directly to the efficiency cost-effectiveness and reliability of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expert Parts Interpretation: Assist both internal teams and external parties in identifying and sourcing the correct parts needed for various applications.
- Purchasing Operations: Liaise with purchase requisitioners to understand their needs issue purchase orders and keep them informed about the status against required delivery dates.
- Lead Change Initiatives: Actively support and drive the broader transformation of the Procurement and Supply Chain function.
- Data Management: Maintain up-to-date data on suppliers part numbers prices and catalogues to ensure operational efficiency.
- Supplier Evaluation and Compliance: Assess supplier performance based on quality delivery timeliness cost and responsiveness ensuring they meet contractual obligations.
- Spot Audits: Plan and lead spot audits focusing on ensuring quality service standards are maintained.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate III in Automotive Sales (Parts Interpreting) or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience as a Parts Interpreter.
- Proven experience in supply chain management and purchasing preferably in the transportation industry.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
