Immediate start available for the right candidate.We are looking for a dedicated flexible part-time cleaner to join our team at Blackpool Zoo.
Its not just our animals that that require a clean and safe environment our visitors do as well. We take pride in maintaining a clean safe and welcoming space throughout the zoo and your role will be key to helping us achieve this.
The role is hands- on busy and covers a wide area. No two days will be the same and you will be working with a supportive team committed to keeping our facilities clean and presentable for everyone who visits.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Dusting sweeping vacuuming mopping floors and cleaning ceiling vents.
- Restroom Upkeep: Ensuring restrooms are cleaned sanitized and restocked with supplies.
- Routine Inspections: Performing and documenting routine inspections and maintenance activities.
- Special Projects: Carrying out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as needed.
- Supply Management: Stocking and maintaining supply rooms and ordering new cleaning supplies as necessary.
- Minor Repairs: Notifying management of deficiencies or needs for repairs and making minor adjustments or repairs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous cleaning experience is essential (ideally in a public or visitor facing environment)
- Knowledge: Cleaning chemicals and supplies and understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Physical Ability: To be able to operate heavy equipment and machinery
- Integrity: High level of integrity and reliability.
Shift Pattern:
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM approximately 3-4 shifts a week. (Peak season subject to change)
Availability:
- Across 7 Days: The cleaner must be available to work any day of the week including weekends school holidays & bank holidays
