About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic engineering leader to join our team as Vice President of Water & Wastewater Engineering in our Austin TX office. This is an executive leadership role that combines technical excellence team leadership and business acumen to shape the future of municipal water infrastructure across Central Texas.
What Youll Do:
Provide strategic leadership for the Water/Wastewater Engineering Division
Serve as a technical expert for water and wastewater infrastructure: treatment plants pump stations lift stations pipelines and tunnels
Oversee multiple concurrent municipal projects with full responsibility for scope schedule and budget
Lead and mentor teams of engineers and project managers to ensure technical excellence and project delivery
Manage client relationships especially with municipalities like the City of Austin
Contribute to business development through networking proposal development and client presentations
Ensure compliance with Texas regulations and industry standards
What We re Looking For:
Must have an active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license
Extensive hands-on experience with water and wastewater projects in the Austin TX region
Minimum 12 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater engineering
Proven track record of leading teams and managing large-scale public infrastructure projects
Strong client-facing communication and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to manage both technical and financial project performance
Nice to Haves:
Prior experience in a Vice President or senior leadership role
Experience working in small-to-midsize consulting firms 35 50 employees)
Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Familiarity with Texas municipal procurement processes and permitting
