Job Description
As a Food and Beverage Team Leader at Novotel Melbourne South Wharf you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual who can lead our team ensuring our hotel operate smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and delegate duties to ensure smooth daily operations in our outlets
- Oversee the set-up service and breakdown of dining areas ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Communicate feedback and key information to the Food & Beverage leadership team
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any concerns or special requests
- Lead by example and conduct team training to align with Novotel brand and service standards
- Monitor rosters and staffing schedules to meet operation requirements
- Ensure the proper handling and settlement of customer accounts using our POS system.
- Liaise with kitchen to ensure the highest standard of food quality and visual appeal
Qualifications :
What you will bring to the role:
- A service-focused personality with a passion for food and beverage.
- Previous experience in a similar leadership role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Experience in espresso coffee making and bartending will be highly regarded.
- Confidence in leading a team of food and beverage attendants independently.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food handling best practices.
- A Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Flexibility to work mornings evenings weekdays weekends and public holidays
