UMass Memorial Medical Center Department of Pediatrics Division of Neonatology APP Service Line Manager
UMass Memorial Childrens Medical Center (CMC) is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) service line manager of our neonatology division to join our team of healthcare professionals and contribute to our overall mission to serve the needs of diverse families in Central Massachusetts through team collaboration.
Our UMass Division of Neonatology provides care to patients within our level III 49-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with patients with a wide range of medical and surgical needs and 2 community level 2 special care nurseries. Our collaborative work force is comprised of advanced practice providers pediatric residents neonatal perinatal fellows newborn hospitalists and other multi-disciplinary team members (respiratory therapy child life dietary occupational and physical therapy). Our APP group is comprised of approximately 10-15 individuals with a range of experience levels that are well integrated into our clinical and academic priorities of our Division of Neonatology.
We aim to recruit a full-time (40 hours per week) APP service line manager that is dedicated to multi-disciplinary collaboration teamwork strengthening career development of APPs medical education of trainees of all types and implementation of standardized clinical practice and family centered care.
Specific Responsibilities
Support NICU APPs in the following with the partnership of the Clinical and Academic Chiefs of Neonatology
*indicates tasks that may be delegated to other APPs
Oversee assignments of academic/administrative components of APP roles Identify career opportunities for individual growth as part of annual reviews and any supportive measures as needed Oversee new APP recruitment Oversee new APP onboarding* Oversee APP scheduling build* Liaise with Pediatric Departmental Administrators to facilitate payroll process Oversee credentialling and re-credentialling process Oversee development of APP-specific workflows and CPGs* (also partnering with nursing leadership) Contribute to neonatal provider administrator on-call needs with other NICU leadership team members (this is an in-person responsibility)
