Responsibilities

Assists with the flow of surgical instrumentation between processing and surgery; reads OR schedule anticipates needs and sets-up OR with required supplies and equipment for respective case(s). Maintain a clean sanitary and orderly OR environment.

Assists with patients to include transporting and assisting with lifting turning positioning and preparing patients for surgical procedures.

Uses standard precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment when transporting patients and when working in the OR.

Qualifications

One year of related work experience in an acute care hospital that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job
knowledge skills/abilities.
Post-high school training specific to health care (i.e. central processing health care assistant) preferred.

Workexperience in perioperative or as a military medic/corpsman is preferred.


Licensure/Certification:
Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
