In this varied and challenging role youll work in our intensive youth mentoring programs in the beautiful Kimberley town of Kununurra. Youll support young people to develop lasting links with the community and encourage active engagement with the services we are proud to deliver.

In this full time maximum term role (to June 2027 with potential for permanency) based in Kununurra youll work in partnership with local youth justice stakeholders to support young offenders aged 10-18 with the aim of reducing re-offending. As part of our Kununurra Case Work Team youll report to our Team Leader.
You will make a difference by:
- Engaging and building rapport with at-risk children young people families and community members
- Supporting young people to increase safety positive community engagement life skills and cultural connection
- Providing practical support mentoring and advocacy for young people and their families (as required) with complex needs
- Collaborating with government and non-government services to work towards common goals

You have plenty of energy and a can-do attitude which will help you make long-lasting relationships with disengaged youth and their families. Youre resilient not afraid of a challenge and importantly youre comfortable working in remote and rural settings.
This role requires:
- Demonstrated skills and experience in working with young people in particular Aboriginal young people
- Demonstrated experience in case management
- A minimum of a Diploma in Youth Work Psychology Social Work (or a related field) or significant equivalent experience
- Drivers licence
