Job Description
Position Purpose
Ensure that suppliers meet the required quality standards by driving continuous improvement defect prevention and compliance with customer-specific requirements. Coordinate audits root cause analysis and corrective actions with suppliers. Support robust new product introductions and strengthen supplier capabilities to ensure product and process consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify new suppliers in coordination with Project Buyers during the feasibility phase.
- Communicate applicable business and customer-specific requirements (CSR) to suppliers.
- Conduct supplier validation audits and support APQP implementation.
- Collaborate with Engineering to define process parameters and ensure supplier capability.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for supplier-related quality issues.
- Perform on-site visits to verify implementation of corrective actions.
- Develop and monitor supplier improvement plans.
- Identify process improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
- Promote the use of Lean Six Sigma Poka-Yoke MSA and PFMEA methodologies.
- Lead quality audits and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Relevant experience in supplier management preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of APQP PPAP FMEA IATF 16949:2016 and VDA 6.3 audits.
- Familiarity with metrology inspection methods and measurement techniques.
- Competent in problem solving and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
- Valid Visa and Passport willing to travel as required.
