Job details

Change Managers coordinate activities and communication in order to ensure project objectives are met and sustained. They focus on the people aspect of change including changes to business processes tools and technology job roles and organisation structures.



Requirements

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Change Strategy and Planning

    • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies to support the implementation of future modules under the Digital Marketplace 2.
    • Align change plans with project objectives legal frameworks and user needs.
    • Identify change impacts and readiness gaps across business units and stakeholder groups.

2. Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including government buyers sellers and panel managers.
    • Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions to understand concerns gather feedback and promote change adoption.
    • Champion change across multidisciplinary teams by encouraging collaboration and co-design.

3. Communications and Training

    • Develop and deliver targeted communication plans to ensure clarity and consistency in change messaging.
    • Design and coordinate training programs and materials to build capability and understanding among impacted users.
    • Prepare guidance materials to support transition to new categories legal frameworks and assessment processes.

4. Change Impact and Risk Management

    • Conduct change impact assessments to identify and manage risks to adoption and business continuity.
    • Collaborate with legal procurement and policy teams to ensure changes are appropriately communicated and understood.
    • Monitor and report on change progress stakeholder sentiment and resistance issues.

5. Change Implementation Support

    • Support teams during delivery and implementation of changes to ensure successful transition and minimal disruption.
    • Embed change practices into project delivery and ensure alignment with broader digital transformation efforts.
    • Provide coaching and advice to leaders and change agents throughout the change journey.

6. Continuous Improvement

    • Capture lessons learned and stakeholder feedback to refine future change approaches.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives and recommend enhancements to improve user experience and adoption.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and change resilience across the DTA and the broader ecosystem.


Essential criteria 1. A track record of delivering technology products in large organisations 2. A demonstrated understanding of what makes for a great developer experience for external users 3. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams that follow agile and user-centred design practices 4. Experience working on large Government transformation programs highly regarded Desirable criteria 1. Knowledge, experience of, and relationships with the agriculture technology industry 2. Delivery of technology to support regulatory decision-making processes 3. Experience delivering to the Australian Government Digital Service Standard
