The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of Security Officers that are assigned on a specific shift. The position also has operational responsibilities that are assigned by the Director of the Safety and Security department. The position works Tuesday-Saturday from 11:30pm-8:00am. The position reports to the Director of the Safety and Security.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED is required. 6-8 years of proprietary security work experience is required. Previous experience in police or military is preferred. Must have at least 1-2 years of previous supervisory experience. Must be willing to successfully complete internal/external supervisor & manager training as assigned. Must possess a valid drivers license.
Computer Skills
Familiarity with MS Office (Word Excel Outlook).
Language Skills
Intermediate skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability
Basic skills: Ability apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mathematical Ability
Basic skills: Ability to add subtract multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to interpret bar graphs.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand walk stoop kneel crouch or crawl use hands to handle or feel reach with hands and arms talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
