Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a culture of workplace safety and regulatory compliance (MSHA federal state and local)
- Develop implement and continuously improve health & safety programs and procedures
- Conduct underground and surface site inspections hazard assessments and risk evaluations
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Lead or assist in MSHA inspections and site visits
- Deliver engaging safety training education and onboarding
- Schedule and manage required annual physicals and hearing tests
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety audits inspections incidents and training
- Support weekly/monthly H&S reporting and data tracking
- Collaborate across departments to embed a proactive safety culture
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with MSHA safety regulations and workplace compliance
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in computer-based reporting communication and recordkeeping
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
