About the Role
Based in our West End Brisbane office the Project Accountant will be supporting the QLD Electrical&Gas projects driving business performance through accurate reporting maximising opportunities and minimising risks maintaining a clear P&L and transparent balance sheet and ensuring a healthy cash flow through effective debtor and creditor management.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- End of Month tasks including project performance reporting and actual VS forecast analysis
- Deliver quarterly reforecasts and project margin analysis
- Participate in regular contract reviews and provide insights into contract performance risk and opportunities and improvement initiatives.
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Drive continuous improvement in the completion of end-to-end processes including purchase to pay payroll system etc
- Conduct ad hoc financial modelling and strategic analysis
Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant degree in accounting
- CPA qualification desirable but not essential
- 2 years in project accountant experience within (capital works) construction or infrastructure industry
- Ability to manage maintain manipulate and analyse complex and large data sets.
- Experience with SAP highly regarded
