You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Center for the School of the Future (CSF) at Utah State University seeks a Distinguished Research Fellow to assist CSF staff with emerging technology development (e.g. AI quantum computing virtual reality etc.) to support increased learning in K-12 students. The Distinguished Research Fellow is a part time position. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong record of professional experience with senior level executive appointments in higher education and with expertise in areas aligned with CSF interests.
This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah.
Minimum Qualifications
Breadth of successful experience in senior university leadership at least at the dean level of an engineering or technology related school.
Experience working with the school of education at the university level.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary research approach.
Ability to work with CSF and USUs College of Engineering to advance personalized learning as defined by one of the National Academy of Engineering grand challenges.
Understanding the future of work and the human technology frontier as defined by the National Science Foundation to address associated challenges and opportunities.
Experience with artificial intelligence and ability to advise and collaborate with the CSF team on development of tools using this technology to improve learning.
Ability to work collaboratively on an entrepreneurially minded team.
Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with Utah policy makers industry leaders and university leadership.
Evidence of an innovative mindset to identify implement and evaluate solutions for vexing challenges in student learning.
Evidence of success if seeking and obtaining funding to develop implement and support core CSF strategies.
Evidence of the ability to align work efforts with organizational mission vision and values.
