The position of Technology Repair Specialist is responsible for the repair of all audiovisual (AV) technologies for the Bellevue School District.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
Coordinates and manages the repair and maintenance of all classroom office gymnasiums conference room and other common areas with AV equipment including state of the art technology.
Collaborate with vendors on warranty repairs and other specialized support.
Prioritize and schedule service requests to minimize instructional disruption.
Provides customer support for technology hardware including in-shop and onsite support for staff and students.
Ensures proper recording documentation and ticket closure in ticket tracking system.
Ensures proper tracking of equipment information in inventory system.
Creates and maintain technology guides related to area of responsibility.
Responsible for receiving and prepping new technology equipment for the district.
Works in collaboration with Technology Hardware Specialist on hardware and other projects.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to and is supervised by Technology Support Manager
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):
Required:
Three years of experience in repair of computers AV equipment and peripheral devices .
Preferred:
Associates degree in Computer Science or a related field
Computer vendor repair certification
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS (positions in this class typically require):
None
KNOWLEDGE (position requirements at entry):
Knowledge of computer systems hardware AV equipment and peripherals .
Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and/or other spreadsheet or database software.
Knowledge of general trouble-shooting techniques for software hardware and AV and sound systems.

Exceptional customer support skills with a focus on understanding and addressing customer needs promptly and effectively.
Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills commensurate with the position.
Ability to convey technical issues and materials to a non-technical audience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: stooping kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting finger dexterity grasping talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts odors chemicals extreme temperatures inadequate lighting workspace restrictions and intense noises.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
CTSA Professional Technical salary level1$60469- $63651 (starting at $60469 annual) 40 hours per week for a 260-day annual assignment. This position is non-exempt. Medical dental vision long-term disability and life-insurance eligibility is based upon 630 hours worked within a school year. Retirement provided through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems. Other benefits include vacation and holidays.
