Cost Control Lead - RAK

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Quantity Surveying Finance or a related discipline.

• Experience in cost control or project controls within construction and/or mining projects in a lead role.

• Proven experience in site-based roles on large-scale EPC or mining/construction projects.

• Strong understanding of project cost control principles budgeting forecasting and reporting.

• Proficiency in cost control software and systems (e.g. Primavera SAP EcoSys MS Excel or equivalent).

• Knowledge of earned value management (EVM) project accounting and cost performance analysis.

• Excellent communication analytical and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the site-based cost control function and serve as the primary point of contact for cost-related matters on the project site.

• Develop and maintain the projects cost control systems procedures and tools in accordance with company standards.

• Monitor and control project costs including labor equipment materials and subcontractor expenditures.

• Track committed costs actual costs accruals and forecast costs to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Produce regular cost reports (weekly/monthly) and present variance analysis against the budget and forecast.

• Work closely with project planners to integrate cost and schedule data and perform earned value analysis (EVA).

• Provide cost input for changes variations and claims ensuring alignment with contractual and commercial frameworks.

• Lead the monthly cost review process and contribute to progress reviews with senior site and corporate management.

• Support procurement and contracts teams with cost benchmarking trend analysis and estimating activities.

• Identify risks trends and cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

• Ensure compliance with company policies project procedures and client reporting requirements.

• Mentor and guide junior cost engineers or analysts (if applicable).
