Summary:
This is the Lead Human Resources role for a new manufacturing facility in Texas. This role will support human resources functions collaborating closely with Leadership to meet recruitment and training needs while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. The ideal candidate will be highly organized capable of managing multiple priorities and able to handle confidential information with discretion. Reports to the Director of Human Resources at the corporate office in Maryland with a dotted line to Plant Management in Texas. The incumbent will be part of the local leadership team for the plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with Plant Leadership to assess workforce needs and provide recruitment and training solutions
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings attending/hosting recruitment events screening interviewing and onboarding
Conduct new employee orientations ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
Create update and maintain training records in compliance with ISO standards and company policies
Provide administrative support for HR functions including employee records management and compliance documentation; eventually managing an HR/Front Desk Assistant that will take over the basic administrative functions once the plant opens.
Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and integrity
Assist in coordinating employee development programs and training sessions
Support HR-related projects and initiatives ensuring alignment with business goals
Apply sound judgment and common sense understanding to execute written and verbal instructions effectively
Adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of human resources experience preferably in a manufacturing production or warehouse environment
Supervisory experience
High-volume recruiting experience
Excellent positive written and verbal communication skills
Must be dependable creative and detail oriented
Ability to coach and motivate employees
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Education/Experience:
Business or Human Resources degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
HRIS and LMS experience a must; SuccessFactors highly desired
Certificates Licenses Registrations:
PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
Language Skills:
Ability to read and understand English instructions; bi-lingual Spanish highly desired but not required
