Job Description
TITLE: Transportation Safety Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS: 18 years of age or older and good physical condition
Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
REPORTS TO: Assigned Supervisor
SUPERVISES: None
JOB GOAL: To provide safe and efficient transportation so that
students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the Districts curriculum and extra curricular program
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rides bus route to pick up and deliver students.
- Assists with loading and unloading passengers.
- Monitors medical conditions and behavior changes.
- Maintains equipment.
- Assists bus driver with discipline on the bus.
- Promotes good public relations through professional and ethical execution of job.
- Participates in staff development programs.
- Performs other duties as directed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 180 days. Salary to be determined by the salary schedule established by the Board.
