Veterinary Assistant Mahomet Animal Hospital (Mahomet IL)
Mahomet Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. We are a friendly community-focused practice committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients.
About the Role:
As a Veterinary Assistant youll support our veterinarians and technicians with a variety of daily tasks including:
Assisting with exams treatments and procedures
Handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
Administering medications vaccinations and anesthesia under doctors supervision
Assisting with lab work imaging and surgical prep
Providing client education and excellent customer service
Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8 am 6 pm with one set weekday off each week
Rotating Saturdays
What Were Looking For:
Previous veterinary or animal care experience preferred but were willing to train the right candidate
A positive team-oriented attitude
Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent patient care
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
