Job Description
Job Title: Lead Windows SME
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Windows SME to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of extensive experience with Windows operating systems and a proven track record in systems administration architecture and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and maintenance of Windows servers and workstations ensuring optimal performance security and reliability.
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex Windows-related issues and provide expert-level technical support.
- Architect design and implement Active Directory Group Policy and other Windows services.
- Monitor system performance conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy advanced Windows-based solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior and mid-level team members.
- Stay updated with the latest Windows updates patches and industry trends.
- Perform SSL Certificate management activities Windows Firewall PKI and Certificate Services distribute wildcard certificates to individual or SAN certificates
- EFS with BitLocker Exploit Protection Control Flow Guard (CFG) EFS with BitLocker Windows Firewall
- Manage the SSL Certificate management platform
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of experience working with Windows operating systems.
- Deep expertise in Windows Server Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. MCSA MCSE) are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware Hyper-V).
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles and practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
