  • Salary: 40777 per annum
  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Contract: Permanent required as soon as possible

Sudbury Town Council has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our forward thinking and award-winning Town Council in the role of Operations Manager.

As our Operations Manager you will:

  • support the Town Clerk in the effective delivery of Sudbury Town Council management and services
  • work as part of the senior management team to ensure that the Town Council meets its aims objectives and purposes
  • act as the councils lead on the delivery of external services and facilities management.

Your duties will include:

  • management of the routine external services of the Town Council on behalf of the Town Clerk (as per the role specific responsibilities listed in the Job Description below)
  • responsibility for the facilities management of the town councils buildings and offices including supervising the cleaning staff maintenance contractors identifying faults and obtaining estimates for repairs
  • proactively identifying potential problems and propose courses of action to avoid the issues and minimise the chances of them reoccurring
  • responsibility for current and future operational and budgetary planning for each area of the town councils external services and facilities management
  • responsibility for ensuring all relevant statutory regulatory and legal compliance for the town councils external services and facilities management (including but not limited to health and safety environmental road closures).
