Job Description

Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Inventory Coordinator is to assist management in inventory management while working with sales support and sales daily. Additionally the Inventory Coordinator will assist and be the primary backup for the shipping/production coordinator as well as documenting processes and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with inventory control to help ensure appropriate amounts are in place and available for shipment.
  • Understand how the technology is used for scanning and putting away products (quantities and location accuracy)
  • Works with material handlers as needed to verify received supplies for correct amount and specifications performs cycle counting as required to eliminate inventory (issues cycle counts using the scan gun system.)
  • Assist in investigation and resolution of inventory issues or discrepancies and/or research inventory transactions. Coordinates investigation with on-sight and off-sight staff.
  • Compares information on purchase orders invoices and shipping notices to material received or issued to verify accuracy of order.
  • Coordinates with team members to ensure order fulfillment accuracy.
  • Ensure information needed for labeling of finished goods is accurate and correct.
  • Analyze orders for availability and coordinate with management to suggest alternates or solutions should issues arise.
  • Coordinate with various departments on any potential production issues or needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
No formal supervisory role.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an ERP centered manufacture coordination role.
  • Associates degree preferable but not required.
  • Experience working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse a plus.

Physical/Mental Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing walking bending kneeling stooping crouching crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This position will work in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled environments which can contain dirt grease and dust with exposure to outdoor environments.

Compensation:
The pay range listed is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters inc/Satellite Industries Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors including but not limited to a candidates qualifications skills competencies experience location and end client requirements).
